There is something for everyone at the FloGris!
Anytime of year explore the art exhibitions and engage children with visual “Can you find me?” cards – a great way to look at art very closely.
Hear tales of the artists who came to stay at Miss Florence’s boardinghouse and see the house as it looked in 1910. Scavenger hunt cards encourage closely scanning the historic room for clues.
Our gardens and grounds are beautiful to explore. April through September enjoy Make-A-Painting Sundays with your general admission. Visitors use our painting supplies and can have a short lesson in landscape painting before heading out to the gardens to paint. A fun activity for everyone in your family! (check the website calendar for schedule changes)
Our popular Wee Faerie Village is back in October! Every year the magical walking tour of faerie houses takes on a new theme. In 2014 see A Wee Faerie Village in a Steampunk’d Wonderland (October 3 – November 2). Over two dozen artists will create faerie dwellings that unfold the story of Alice in Wonderland. The futurist twist is a steampunk theme combining Victorian ways with industrial ingenuity. Arts n Crafts and special activities throughout the month– check the website for up–to-date details.
Other events around the year include Winter Wonderment Weekend, GardenFest, Midsummer Festival, the Magic of Christmas and Miss Florence’s Birthday Party.
Field trips are offered for kindergarten through college. Scout groups enjoy badge work and special field trips (FloGris FunPatch available)
