And our educational programming doesn’t stop at the end of the school year. During the summer we operate the Seaside Center at Greenwich Point, which is staffed every season by Bruce Museum naturalists who offer programming, events and activities designed to educate visitors about the ecology of Long Island Sound and environmental issues, including guided nature activities, arts & crafts, and shoreline seining. Features include a live-animal marine touch tank, aquariums and seashore dioramas.
For aspiring artists, we offer the ever-popular Palettes, Brushes and Paint summer workshop where students learning the basics of painting and wrap the week by creating an over-sized mural that is displayed at the museum.
Whether on-site at the museum or off-site at a school, the art and science programs of the Bruce Museum enrich the entire community.
