Hunt for more than 6,000 eggs. Every egg contains a treat (donated by Appalchian Trails) or a prize for you and your dog. Games, activities and face painting. The store hosts a free Easter Egg Hunt Eggs-Travaganza starting at 4 p.m.. Children age 8 and under will be given a map of Stew Leonard’s and a bag to collect eggs from costumed characters throughout the store, including Wow the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck among others. Each egg contains prizes ranging from candy and board games to toys and gift cards. Please note: some of the candy included in the eggs may contain peanuts. Information: stewleonards.com.

The New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks
April 3 from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
Easter egg hunt  for ages 1 through 10. One adult is permitted to assist children ages 1 through 6. Limit of five eggs per child; parents are requested to monitor, observe and take photos, but encourage the kids to find eggs on their own; all participants need to bring their own bag/basket. Strollers will not be allowed in the hunt areas. The Easter Bunny will pose with kids for pictures from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; cameras are encouraged. Activities also include open cockpits and the museum’s Flight Sim Spot.  Woodland trail egg hunt on . Bring your eggs back to the Creation Stations to paint and decorate. Meet the wild Easter Bunny and have a few sweet treats. Bring your own basket to collect eggs. Five thousand Easter eggs will be dropped from a helicopter for kids of all ages to scramble. Registration for a chance to win a new bike is at 2 p.m.; the drop is at 2:30 p.m. Refreshments available. The event is free.

Saturday, April 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
More than 15,000 eggs filled with chocolate and prizes are part of the fun  Hunt times are 11:15 a.m. for kids 2 and under; noon, 3 and 4 years old; 12:45 p.m. for 5 and 6 year olds; and 1:15 p.m. for 7, 8 and 9 year olds. Cost is a $1 donation to the Our Companions Domestic Animal Sanctuary. hosts an egg hunt . Mr. Bunny will be in the Gazebo from noon to 1 p.m. on the Village green for a special egg and hug for those ages 2 and younger. The “older” kids will have their chance to search for eggs in the Apple Orchard. The schedule is 3-year-olds hunt for eggs at noon; 4-year-olds at 12:15; 5-7 year olds at 12:30; and 8 to 10 year olds at 12:45. In the event of rain, all eggs will be available at the Gazebo. hosts a free egg hunt  open to children 12 years of age and under. Age groups are as follows: up to age 3; 4 to 7; and 8 through 12. Several stores including Williams Sonoma, Old Navy, Pepperidge Farm, New Balance, and VF Outlet, will be sponsoring games and activities immediately following the egg hunt: cookie decorating, egg decorating, coloring contests and more. April 18Lyman Orchards in Middlefield

hosts an apple hunt in a hay maze on April 18 for kids 1 to 10 years old (rain date is April 19). Other activities include a magic show, face painting and free photos with the Easter Bunny.
