Built by Warner Brothers Studios and opened in 1931 as a movie palace, the Warner Theatre is described as "Connecticut's Most Beautiful Theatre". Warner offers more than 160 public performances and serves 100,000 patrons year-round. Over 8,000 children ages 2 through Grade 12 are impacted by the theatre's arts education programs. Programs include after-school enrichment, field trips, Summer Arts, and the Young Actors Series, where students have the chance to perform on the Warner's magnificent Main Stage!

The Friends of Madison Youth is a non-profit organization that runs programs and events out of the youth center at The Madison Arts Barn. The youth of the Connecticut shoreline can attend and participate in concerts, creative and academic workshops, theatrical performances, skate jams and more. Programs include theatrical productions, leadership opportunities, educational support services, artisitic and technology competitions and trainings, social events, summer camps and workshops. We strive to create a safe, substance-free environment that nurtures artistic expression, creativity and self-confidence.

Summer Musical Theatre Intensive at The Hartt Community

Spend two weeks at the University of Hartford fostering excellence, artistry, and a love of musical theatre. The Hartt School Community Division’s Summer Musical Theatre Intensives offer a full-day musical- theatre training experience for youth, lead by faculty from Broadway and the University. The Preprofessional program is for students age 14–20, and includes a residential option for those looking to live on campus. The session runs July 9–20, 2018. Applications are due April 6. The Junior program is for students in grades 4–8. The session runs July 16–27. Applications are due May 18.
